Generation instructions

AI

Write rules in plain English, one per line — naming a subject or a teacher. AI reads them when you Generate (e.g. “Maths in the mornings”, “Ms. Sara off on Friday”, “double period for Science”).

How to use it

  1. 1In Whole-school mode, set your days and periods, then list your subjects and teachers.
  2. 2For each class, add its subjects with the assigned teacher and periods-per-week — or load the sample school / upload the Excel template to start fast.
  3. 3Add any plain-English rules (e.g. 'Ms. Sara not available on Friday', 'Mr. Bilal max 4 periods per day'), then click Generate.
  4. 4Review the result by class or by teacher, tweak by drag-and-drop, and download every timetable as a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Whole-school mode schedules every class together and guarantees the same teacher is never placed in two classrooms in the same period — the conflict you can't catch building one class at a time. There's also a Single-class mode for a quick one-off grid.

Write them in plain English in the instructions box, naming the teacher — e.g. 'Ms. Sara Khan not available on Friday' or 'Mr. Bilal Hussain max 4 periods per day'. Subject rules like 'No P.E. in last period' or 'Max 1 Science per day' work too. The tool shows how many lines it understood.

Yes. After generating, switch to the By-teacher view to see any teacher's full week across all classes. The PDF includes a page per class and a page per teacher.

Yes — download the Excel template and fill one row per assignment (Class, Subject, Teacher, Periods Per Week), then upload it. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.

The generator tells you — e.g. 'Mr. Bilal needs 32 periods but can fit only 24' — and fills what it can, instead of silently double-booking. Add another teacher, add periods, or relax a rule.
